Our health care team is here to care for you, 24 hours a day, seven
days a week. We’ve relocated and updated our Emergency Center
to offer urgent treatment whenever the need arises. For patients
requiring more specialized emergency care, we offer stabilization
and transfer services to a larger hospital.

We’ve recently renovated our patient care areas and are pleased
to provide 28 private rooms and six semiprivate rooms. With peaceful
murals painted throughout our halls and comfortable waiting areas
for family and visitors, our goal is to make your stay with us as
pleasant as possible.

Physical
therapy
Our licensed physical therapists work to increase function and mobility
for individuals who have experienced joint replacement or a disabling
injury or illness. Additionally, physical therapists develop treatment
programs for chronic pain and wound care patients. The physical
therapy unit provides programs and emotional support to help our
patients return to their everyday activities as soon as possible.

Our rehabilitation team helps those who have lost mobility because
of illness, including heart attack or stroke, or injury. In our
rehab programs, patients learn how to carry out activities of daily
living at home, on the job, and in the community.

Respiratory
therapy
Using a wide variety of techniques and specialized equipment, we
can evaluate, treat and educate those with breathing problems, such
as asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema. Additionally, our registered/
certified respiratory therapists treat patients who have heart disease,
cystic fibrosis or lung cancer.

To meet the ongoing health needs of our community, physician specialists
see patients weekly at CHRISTUS Coushatta Health Care Center. These
physicians are specialists in the areas of internal medicine, general
and family practice, radiology, orthopedics (bone and joint), ear/nose/throat,
cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology, ophthalmology, pathology,
oncology, and general surgery.
